2026 Monthly Plans
January. We visit our former Karamojong pastor, Felix for the holidays and spend time with his family. Waffle teaches at regional Christian Conference, held up in Kapchorwa. Val works on site plans for our Discipleship Training Center in Ngenge.
February. NW Hills community church short term team comes for a Pastoral visit, to encourage and inspire us. They are Val's first "Sending Church", who mentored her as a new Christian, seeking to go to the mission field. Waffle and our short term missionary, Matthew, work on construction projects and fencing in Ngenge. Waffle preaches at the Deaf Baptist church in Kangole.
March. Val works with CLIDE's Discipleship groups to strengthen them and encourage them in their spiritual journeys. Val also works with CLIDE's Celebrate Recovery groups to revive those who have fallen away, and to empower and train their leaders. Waffle does fencing, plowing and planting in Ngenge as wells as plowing for needy community members in Karamoja. Waffle preaching at community churches in Ngenge.
April. Waffle works of fencing in Ngenge and planning for construction of our Discipleship Training Center. Val works on setting up a non-profit that can oversee the discipleship training and other ministries in Ngenge. We have a new ministry partner (Anita Strom) begin to work with us in Ngenge, in children's ministries.
May. Trip to Virginia for the wedding of Val's neice. Waffle continues on to Oregon for a month or so.
June. Short term construction team comes to help put up the foundation for our Discipleship Training Center, and to work on the workshop.

2021 Monthly Plan:
January - 1 vet visitor from Tillamook! We will be treating tropical diseases in livestock and doing some small animal surgeries on dogs and cats. 2 visitors from Idaho, who will help us with construction, livestock projects and setting up Christian nursery schools.
February- Construction of 2 village churches. Develop Christian nursery school curriculum. starting 3 Christian nursery schools. Purchasing 2 motorcycles for discipleship ministry. Complete registration of Gold Miners Assocition and re-establish the Gold Miners Church and nursery school.
March - Mentoring pastors, Herbal veterinary medicine development and networking. Establishing village health care givers in 2-3 village church sites.
April - Hosting an International veterinary mission in Karamoja. Finalizing CLIDE Discipleship curriculum books 1 and 2 with recordings and Karamojong translations.
May - Discipleship Training refresher for Karamojong discipleship leaders and pastors (32 members)
June - Annual planning and evalution with CLIDE. Val to USA to begin furlough? Val's family reunion.
July - Waffle completes church construction and Nabwal pastors house. Val visiting friends and churches in the USA.
August - Waffle to USA to begin furlough? Val and Waffle vacation on Oregon/California coast?
September - Visiting churches and friends in the USA. Medical check-ups.
October - Visiting churches and friends in the USA
November - Visiting churches and friends in the USA.
December - Family time. Val returns to Uganda. Waffle remains in USA for 1 more month.
Calendar
We keep a very busy schedule, so we decided to put our calendar on line so that you can see what we are doing, and so that you can pray for our various activities. We would never be able to achieve the things that we do without your prayers and God's intervention. We are in awe that He choses to use simple people like us, with many flaws and foibles, and He is able to create something of value out of it! Life is very challenging here in Uganda, and we totally live by grace and mercy. Please lift us up to the Throne of Mercy. Thanks. May God uses us and helps us to shine like the stars of the universe, each and every day, for His kingdom purposes. Please pray as you are led. Thanks!

Our next furlough is in the winter of 2026 or spring of 2027. We will come for a short visit in May 2026. We will both go to Virginia, where Val's neice is getting married, then Waffle will continue to Oregon to visit friends there for a short time.
